Baby Rock Sampler
Since 2019 I have produced the Baby Rock Sampler music project in Manchester and beyond. These highly acclaimed accessible gigs for families address a gap in provision for parents and carers looking for proper gigs in the daytime. No babysitter, no problem!
The project opened up some additional cool opportunities including being chosen to take part in Change the Record, a leadership programme by Brighter Sound for women (cis and trans) working in the music industries. We were also invited to take part in Deeds Not Words event in Brussels run by GMCA in 2019, chosen as a model of good practice - contributing to a fairer music scene for parents and carers.
Are you....
- A promoter or act looking to double your money and shorten a tour?
- A venue interested in filling an empty gig space during the day and expand your audience?
- A parent or carer missing gigs since having kids?

Monkeys In Love
I was the visual director, vocalist and manager for art rock band Monkeys In Love (2005-2019), including the production, marketing and distribution of three sell-out albums.
We were known for raucous and interactive themed gigs - think puppetry, props and projection - and were once described as a drunk Stereolab.
We frequented many, many grassroots venues past and present in Manchester and Salford, including Gullivers, Tiger Lounge, The Castle, TV-21s, Antwerp Mansion, The Black Lion, Dancehouse, Islington Mill and The Crescent.
In 2012 we had a residency at Lass O'Gowrie for five months, culminating in a show headlined by Damo Suzuki of CAN fame, and his sound carriers. Each preceding month I themed each gig, using the full room and interactive elements with a Crystal Maze vibe - underwater, futuristic, jungle and Olympic. All done on a shoestring budget and audience involvement!
We also played gigs across the country including The Thunderbolt in Bristol, The Sun Inn in Stockton-on-Tees, Christ Church in Oswestry. We did a stripped down two-piece set at Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro in Tokyo too. It was a lot of fun.
DJ sets
I also get up to very sporadic DJing - we have a lot of music at home!
From the sublime to the daft, covering most bases. Venues DJ'ed at include Deer Shed Festival, Manchester Museum, Albert Schloss, John Rylands Library, Trof Fallowfield.
Also have experience guest presenting radio shows on Resonance FM and ALL FM (2011-2015) and blasting out niche classics to the public.
Always up for playing a party mix!
